He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Hattie Mae Holst (Tol) and Ousley Perkins Jr. (Josie); his stepmother Josie; his children, Antonnia Champion (Cecil Gilbert Jr.), Jasmine Champion, Amber Champion and Ashley Champion; his grandchildren, Bree Martinez and Zoe Champion; and his friend David. He was also cherished by 11 siblings, nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Monumental Baptist Church (704 S Pkwy E, Memphis, TN 38106). A burial will be held on Tuesday, February 4th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery (4000 Forest Hill Irene Rd, Memphis, TN 38125).
