It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Classie Smith Rankin Travis (Memphis, Tennessee), who passed away on January 19, 2025, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Smith and Sadie Foster; her sister Ruth Carr; and her former spouse Isadore T. J. Rankin Sr.. She is survived by: her siblings, James E. Smith and Mary F. Griffin; and her children, Teresa J. Burton, Isadore T. J. Rankin Jr., Crystal A. Rankin, Rory B. Rankin (Charlene), Allen D. Rankin, Glynis M. Rankin, Mark Rankin and Peter Rankin. She is also survived by children, 5 grandchildren and 7 grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Forest Hill Funeral Home (1661 Elvis Presley Blvd, Memphis, TN 38106). A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 31st 2025 at 11:00 AM and at 12:30 PM.
