He is survived by: his wife Gloria Coleman Brooks; his children, Charles Brooks, Jr. and Pamela Martin; and his siblings, Ralph Brooks, Robert Brooks, Moody Whitfield, Maxine Cobbins, Glenda Wells and Vivian Whitfield. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren.
