With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Celia Lavern Alderson (Memphis, Tennessee), born in Waverly, Tennessee, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 22, 2025 at the age of 98. She was predeceased by: her husband Murrie Roland Alderson; and her brothers, Noel Curtis, Eugene Curtis and Clyde Curtis. She is survived by: her children, JoAnn Fisher (Morris) of Germantown, Peggy Blanchard (Jim) of Byhalia, Shirley Feraci (Salvador) of Lakeland, Tennessee, Douglas Alderson (Fran) of Bloomfield and Carl Alderson (Lynn) of Wardell, Missouri; her siblings, Betty Phillips (Judy May) of Wardell and Joe Curtis of Millington, Tennessee; and her grandchildren, Tammy Cochran, Christy Cook, Lanie Oberg, Richard Alderson, Shannon Jarvis, Chip Blanchard, Lia Savino, John Fisher, Sam Feraci, Josh Feraci and Sara Shea. She is also survived by 36 Great Grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 29th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Forest Hill Funeral Home (2440 Whitten Rd, Memphis, TN 38133). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 29th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, April 29th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the Wardell Memorial Park Cemetery (Wardell, MO 63879).
