She was predeceased by: her husband John "Red" Estes Barnett Sr.; her parents, Claude Terrell and Gertrude Terrell; and her siblings, Evelyn Davenport, Katherine Miller, Dorothy Acree, Paul Terrell and William Terrell.

She is survived by: her son John Estes Barnett Jr.; her grandchildren, John Estes Barnett III (Kristy) and Amanda Barnett Biggs (Robert); her brother Claude Terrell Jr.; and her great grandchildren, Grayson Biggs, Myers Biggs, Quinn Biggs and Jackson Barnett. She is also survived by other nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be sent to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Le Bonheur Children's Hospital.
