We are sad to announce that on January 16, 2023, at the age of 78, Brenda Ann Moton of Memphis, Tennessee, born in Gastonia, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, William Herman Moton and Helen Mae Massengill; and her stepparents, Ruth Scott Moton and Clarence C. Swift. She is survived by: her siblings, Jim Moton of Hot Springs and Scotti Patterson (Pat) of Southaven; her children, Dustan Moton (Carol) of Collierville and Deana Ashe of Bells; and her grandchildren, Stormi Loker, Will Moton, Joshua Kuykendall, Emily Moton and Jake Moton. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be made to Baptist Reynolds Hospice House.

“Brenda was a lovely, kind soul, and most of all totally nonjudgmental. A beautiful woman who didn’t know it, who turned heads everywhere she went. I can just remember her doing an impromptu dance with Wallace to one the songs they danced to when they were young. Dance on ya’ll.”
