He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. George Breen Bland and Martha Elizabeth Moore Bland (Betty). He is survived by: his wife Jeanie Mercer; his stepdaughter Amanda Mercer Thompson (Dave) of Atlanta; and his siblings, Teresa Bland of Bacalar, Michael Bland of Newnan, GA, Jimmy Bland (Julie) of St. Louis, Eileen Bland (Ray Hoskinson) of Millington, John Bland (Jo Ellen) of Memphis, Betsy Stevens (David) of Millington and Patrick Bland (Sherri) of Millington. He is also survived by 14 nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held on Monday, January 6th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Grace St. Lukes' Episcopal Church (1720 Peabody Ave, Memphis, TN 38104).
