He was predeceased by: his parents, Bobby Heard and Willie Heard. He is survived by: his daughter Toyshell Jones of Memphis, TN; and his siblings, Jackie Heard, Rosie Pugh and Florence Buggs.

A graveside service was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Pleasant Rest Memorial Garden Cemetery (6235 Raleigh Millington Rd, Millington, TN 38055).
