It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barbara C. McAlpin (Memphis, Tennessee), born in Ann Arbor, Michigan, who passed away on July 18, 2018, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her daughter Kelly Ann Schaffler. She is survived by: her spouses, Charles T. Schaffler and Jim McAlpin; her children, Bitsy Quinn (Danny) of Memphis, Shawn Demos (Chris) of Memphis, Chuck Schaffler of Memphis, Jack Schaffler of Memphis and Mimi Foster of Chickasaw; her brother William A. Cantrell (Cyndy) of Kerrville, TX.; and also, Jim McAlpin, Jr., Debra Walker, David McAlpin, Janna Dickerson and Rene Girven. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, to whom she was affectionately known as "Boo": Patrick Quinn, Brian Quinn (Millie); Emily Morton (Jesse); Ben Powell, Elisha Pate, Gracey Foster and Joshua Foster, and 3 great-grandchildren.
