He was predeceased by: his wife Barbara; his sister Marie Wickline; and his father Ancel Hall Hankins. He is survived by: his daughter Melissa Karpicke (Doug); his grandsons, Tristan Karpicke, Sam Karpicke and Helen Jones; and his siblings, Larry Hankins (Linda), Terry Hankins and Becky Busby (Leslie). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
