She was predeceased by: her parents, Alma Octavia Pirtle Vincent and Thomas Aubrey Vincent; her husband Dillard Thomas Newman; and her brother Emmett. She is survived by: her siblings, Helen Tolbert, Wayne Vincent, Opal Young, Edith Pipkin, Emily Mills, Kathrine Perryman and Sue Shelly. She is also survived by sisters- and brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and their children.
