He was predeceased by: his parents, Spurgeon Nanney and Vora Tenry Nanney; his wife Betty Laughlin Nanney; and his siblings, Mary Nanney Watlington, Laurence Nanney and Arthur Nanney.
He is survived by: his children, Jim Nanney (Dana), Linda Nanney Lynch (Robert) and Lisa Nanney; and his grandchildren, Catherine Nanney Jackson (Logan), Jason Nanney (Kelsie) and Peyton Nanney.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
