He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvis D. Harris and Ophie May Miller Harris; his son Jerry Gordan Harris; and his siblings, G. W. Harris and Hazel Hill.
He is survived by: his wife Doris Ann Arnold Harris of Medon; his children, Steve Harris (Marlyce) of Jackson, Jeff Harris (Dana) of Medon and Karen Sorrell (Dewayne) of Memphis; and his daughter-in-law Carolyn Harris. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren, twenty-seven great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.
