She was predeceased by: her parents, James Pleas Lavender and Roberta Mae Thompson Lavender; and her brother Jimmy Lavender. She is survived by: her husband Edwin Hershell "E. H." Madewell; her children, Billy Madewell, James Madewell (Jacquelyn) and Donhua Cantrell (Stan); her sister Betty Jean Lavender; her grandchildren, Cale Madewell (Patrick), Hannah Johnson (Zac), Brenton Madewell (Lindsay), Toni Mullican (Grant), Shawna Stewart (Blake) and Eli Cantrell; her great grandchildren, Aiden Johnson, Hadley Johnson, Brooklyn Greene (Dallas), Breana Madewell, Braxton Madewell, Jaelyn Munoz, Jamison Munoz, Aliyah Mullican, Alayna Mullican, Stella Madewell, Levi Madewell, Lennox Mullican and Adaline Stewart; and her great great grandchild Taliah Greene.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 29th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, January 30th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the McMinnville Funeral Home (117 Underwood Rd, McMinnville, TN 37110). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel (117 Underwood Rd, McMinnville, TN 37110).
