She was predeceased by: her parents, James Clyde and Annie Alice Smith (Edward Bert Tate); her sons, Dwaine Tate and Miles Tate; and her siblings, Glenn Smith, Paul Smith, James Smith, Jerry Smith, Mary Knight and Virgie Bishop.
She is survived by: her daughters, Teresa Carol Davis, Hope Renee and Phyllis Cheryl Hobbs (Jeff); and her daughters-in-law, Tami Tate and Melinda Tate. She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren, and several great grandchildren as well as many nieces, nephews, and family friends.
