He was predeceased by: his parents, Jule Wayne and Dessie Dean Vickers Barkes; his brother Wayne Barkes; and his mother-in-law Patricia Bishop. He is survived by: his wife Tammy Barkes of McMinnville; his children, Chad Coppinger of McMinnville, Heather Vinson Butner of Virginia, Brandon Barkes of McMinnville and Dynasty Barkes of McMinnville; his grandchildren, Jenna Craven of McMinnville, Bram Barkes of McMinnville, Victoria Butner and Alice Amelia; his sister Sherry Carr; his nephew Hunter Coppinger; his father-in-law Lane Coppinger; and his brother-in-law Jeff Coppinger. He is also survived by several other nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family to help cover expenses.
