It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Johnnie Melvin Johnson of McMinnville, Tennessee, who passed away on January 25, 2024, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, George Johnson and Levina Hale Johnson; his sons, Johnnie Johnson Jr. and Gary Shockley; and his siblings, Lee Tribble, Bessie Caten, Stella Caten and Kay Beech.
He is survived by: his wife Brenda Shockley Johnson; and his children, George Beals (Tracey), Mark Shockley, Shelia Caffee, Cheryl Chavez (Leo), Laurie Walling and Brenda Rogers. He is also survived by Twenty-four grandchildren, twenty plus great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
