She was predeceased by: her parents, James Newton and Mattie Lou Rogers Rutledge; her spouse Thomas Carl Magness; her siblings, James Elbert Rutledge, Everett Hugh Rutledge, Thelma Lorene Breedlove and Betty Jewell Grissom; her nephew Gary Breedlove (Janice); and her siblings-in-law, Edgar Breedlove and Charity Rutledge.
