We are sad to announce that on August 15, 2024, at the age of 92, Bettye Jean Hallum of McMinnville, Tennessee passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her spouse Terry C. Averitt of Clarksville; her parents, Harry S. Sitz, Sr. and Mary Louise Richmond Champion; and her brothers, Harry S. Sitz, Jr. and Tommy Lexan Champion.
She is survived by: her children, Michael W. Hallum (Molli) of McMinnville, Mark B. Hallum (Amy) of McMinnville and Marcie Hallum Bowen (Jay); her grandchildren, Jill Hallum Mullican (Felix Jimenez) of Saint Albans, Elliott Hallum (Madeleine) of Murfreesboro, Emily Lacey (Leif) of Tuscaloosa, DuVal Bowen of New York and William Bowen of Fort Collins; and her sister Carolyn Masingill of Monteagle. She is also survived by five great grandchildren.
