He was predeceased by: his mother Louise Neal Cooper; his wife Bobbie Orr Cooper; and his brothers, Bill Cooper, Russell Cooper, Warren Cooper, Johnny Cooper and Austin Cooper.

He is survived by: his brother Charlie Cooper of McKenzie. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
