He was predeceased by: his parents, William G. Champion and Ruth Dell Dunn Champion; his former wife Patricia Champion; his great grandchildren, Daniel and Tara Aldridge; and his sister Sue Pinkley.
He is survived by: his wife Joyce Collins Champion; his children, Darlene Tracy of East Peoria, IL, Barb Brooks (Mark) of Springville, TN, Leanette Petty (Glen) of Junction City, KA, Alicia Legens (Dusty) of Gleason, Brent Champion (Carla) of Dresden, Glen Collins (Sandy) of Dyer and Stacy Collins (Tammy) of Gleason; and his siblings, Aggie Robbins of Bloomington, IL, Wanda Lowe (Don) of McKenzie, Diane Coleman of Gleason and Ed Champion (Deb) of Clinton, IL.. He is also survived by eighteen grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 15th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, April 16th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 16th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the New Life Pentecostal Church of God (221 Pillowville Gleason Rd, Gleason, TN 38229).
