He was predeceased by: his parents, Fleming Rainey and Sara Hufstedler Edwards; his daughter Susan Michelle Edwards; his grandson Cory Thompson; and his siblings, Danny Edwards and Carolyn Whitehead.
He is survived by: his brother AJ Laster; his wife Sara Allene Edwards of McKenzie, TN; his children, Lisa Dawn Millard of Newnan, GA, Cyndi Riggs (Stan) of McKenzie, TN, April Michelle Dawson (Christopher) of Killen, AL, Steve Edwards (Donna) of Puryear, TN, Barry Thompson (Bennie) of Dickson, TN and Garry Thompson (Gina) of Waverly, TN; and his sisters, Suzanne Currin (Stanley) of McKenzie, TN and Janie Irby of Paris, TN. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.
