He is survived by: his wife Betty Johnson of McKenzie; his children, Kristina Buttery (Troy) of Paris, Shaunda Page of Huntingdon, Denise Creekmore (Lamar) of Mississippi, Michael Vowell (Barbara) of Paris and Blanton Vowell of Oregon; and his brother Travis Vowell. He is also survived by five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
