She was predeceased by: her parents, B. W. "Bud" Scott and Laura Stafford Scott; her husband James C. Childress; her daughter-in-law Cassandra "Cassie" Childress; and her siblings, Alice Lavern Meek, Milton Scott, Garland Scott, Leslie Scott and Romney Scott.
She is survived by: her grandsons, Scott Childress of Carterville, GA, Mike Childress (Tanya) of Fort Meyers, FL and Kelly Childress (Wendy) of Oxon Hill, MD; her great grandchildren, Elizabeth, Lydia, Cooper, Jaxson and Zadie; her niece Alice Lynn Summers; and her nephew Ricky Scott (Theresa).
