He was predeceased by: his parents, Evelyn Caroline Yaudes Ayres and Robert Sherman Ayres; and his siblings, Carl Ayres, Stewart Ayres, Dale Ayres, Mike Ayres, David Yaudes, Vera Martin and Arlene Livingston.
He is survived by: his wife Martha Mae James Ayres of McEwen, TN; his stepsons, Danny Bragg (Tammy) of McEwen, TN and Keith Bragg (Tammy) of McEwen, TN; and his siblings, Robert "Bobby" Ayres, Jean Conine and Diane Palmiter. He is also survived by 7 step grandchildren and 12 step great grandchildren.
