He is survived by: his wife Miriam Brown Cooksey; his daughters, Leeza Cooksey Holley (Rodney) of LaVergne, TN, Melanie Georgette Cooksey Nenni of McEwen, TN and Rachel Daniece Cooksey of Nashville, TN; his sisters, Janet Cooksey Potter (Bob) of Elizabethtown, KY, Gina Cooksey Evans (Gregg) of Lexington, KY, Kimi Cooksey Proctor (Jonathan) of McEwen, TN and Crystal Cooksey Petty (Steve) of Dickson, TN; his grandchildren, Ryan, Sean, Cathryn Holley, Tony, Allison, April Nenni, Smokey and Thumper; and his sister-in-law Robie Bencho of Jefferson City, TN. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
