He was predeceased by: his parents, Ruby Jeanette McCarson Himes and W. C. Himes; and his sisters, Judy Kay Himes and Barbara Himes Neblett. He is survived by: his wife Connie Mercer Himes of McEwen, TN; his children, Charles J. "Bub" Himes, Jr. (Amanda) of McEwen, TN and Jennifer Himes Thompson (Jeff) of Weatherford, TX.; his grandchildren, Johnny Himes, Hunter Himes, Kaitlyn Carter (Isaac), Kelsey Himes, Evan Thompson, Robby Thompson and Chase Thompson; and his great grandchild Zaidyn Grey Carter.
