Jonathan Denton Obituary
Jonathan Lebron Denton, 41, of McDonald, passed away Friday, August 11, 2017 at his residence. He had lived in the area his entire life and was a member of Gum Springs Baptist Church. He loved his family, and enjoyed fishing, hunting, and the outdoors. He was a graduate of Chattanooga State Community College, and was a supervisor with the Tennessee Department of Transportation.
He had also served in the United States Air Force. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mart and Linda Bredwell. He is survived by his wife, Amber Lovelady Denton of McDonald; children, Colin Denton, Caleb Denton, and Carter Denton and, August Waldo, all of McDonald; parents, Howard Lebron "Pat" Denton and Della Bredwell Denton of Georgetown; one sister, Christina Denton of Ooltewah; mother-in-law and step father-in-law, Debra and John Carter of Georgetown; father-in-law and step mother-in-law, Doyal and Natasha Lovelady of Red Bank; and brother-in-law, Phillip Carter of Georgetown.
A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 15, 2017, in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Reverend Charles Carroll officiating. Interment will follow at the Chattanooga National Cemetery with military honors. A white dove release ceremony and bagpipes will conclude the service. The family will receive friends from at 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, August 14, 2017 at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to Amber Denton, 1130 Mountain Road, McDonald, TN 37353 to help defray medical and final expenses.
