He is survived by: his wife Sue Gray; his pets, Susie and Bud; his sister Patti Sexton; his mother-in-law Bessie Hackney; his nieces and nephews, Joey Smith, Ralph Hackney and Kenneth Middleton; and his caregiver Irene.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 at 7:00 PM at the Cooke-Campbell Mortuary Chapel (220 TN-61, Maynardville, TN 37807). A procession will be held on Friday, November 8th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Cooke-Campbell Mortuary (220 TN-61, Maynardville, TN 37807). A burial will be held on Friday, November 8th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Yadon Cemetery.
