She was predeceased by: her husband Curtis "Curley" Bates; her parents, Walter Sharp and Edna Sharp (Monroe); and her siblings, Lillian Ruth Sharp, Judy Sharp Walker, Richard "Ricky" Sharp and John O. Sharp.
She is survived by: her son Lloyd "Monty" (Patti Bates) of Braselton, Georgia; her grandsons, Patrick (Alicia Bates) of Jefferson and Adam (Michelle Bates) of San Angelo, Texas; her great grandchildren, Caleb, Ansley and Tinley; her sister Mary E. Hill (Sharp); and her close friends, Brenda Coppock and Geri Conner. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
