She was predeceased by: her husband James Preston "Buck" Cox; her parents, Clayton Irick and Opal Irick (Raley); her sister Melba; and her brothers-in-law, Wayne Shoffner and Edgar Cook.
She is survived by: her children, J. P. Cox (Elizabeth) and Susan Nuchols (Rex); her son-in-law Tony Stanley; her grandchildren, Melanie Collins (Josh), Aaron Stanley (Madisun), Spencer Cox, Jessica Nuchols, Kasey Martin (Tony), Matthew Nuchols (Bailey) and Hannah Nuchols; her great grandchildren, Beckley Dalton and Noah James Nuchols; and her sisters, Janice Cook and Myra Beeler (Jerry).
A burial was held on Wednesday, March 12th 2025 at 10:45 AM. A graveside service was held on Wednesday, March 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Lynda's.
In lieu of flowers, Lynda request memorial donations be made in her name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Memphis, Tennessee.
