He was predeceased by: his parents, William David and Minnie Cox (Wolfenbarger); and his siblings, Ruby Buckner, Cuba Wilson, Georgia Grizzard, John, Will, Willie David and Charles Cox.
He is survived by: his wife Helen Cox; his children, Brenda Irick (Donnie), Linda Cole (Bob), Trisha Browning (Steve), Sherry DeMarcus (Kyle), Sheila, Dyer and Mike Cox (Kathy); and his grandchildren, Kris, Stephanie, Eric, Alyssa, Shawnda, Benji Brandi, Adam, Alison, Ashley and Jessica.
