She was predeceased by: her husbands, John Ralph Essary of Claiborne County and Verlie Hugh Monroe of Maynardville; her parents, William Mabe and Susie Bullard Mabe of Lone Mountain, Tennessee; her siblings, Clarence Reed of Lone Mountain, Tennessee, Leva Reed Collins (Dewey) of Monroe, Michigan, Edith Salva (Nick) of Monroe, Michigan, Annette Mabe Dye (Tommy) of Monroe, Michigan and Odoska Hurst (Odel) of Pontiac, Michigan; and her son-in-law Anthony Anderson of Maynardville.
She is survived by: her children, Dorothy Essary, Barbara Williams (Ralph), Lonnie Brown Monroe, Joyce Anderson (late Anthony) of Maynardville, Bertha Monroe Painter of Maynardville and Marilyn Bell (Daniel) of White Pine, Tennessee.; and her grandchildren, Brandi Williams Davis (Brad) of New Tazewell, Tennessee, Gordon Paul Williams of Maynardville, Christopher Anderson of Maynardville, Jessica Montoya of Maynardville, Brent Painter of Maynardville, Joshua Wiley of Nashville and Ashley Laney of White Pine. She is also survived by 11 Great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
