He is survived by: his daughter Sharron Elkins; his granddaughter Andrea Newman; his husband Austin Newman; his great grandchild Sam Meyers; his brother Jesse Elkins; his sisters-in-law, Myrtle Elkins and Clara Elkins; and his friend Lenny Holt. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
