He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Monroe and Bonnie Palmer Monroe; and his siblings, Gareth Palmer Monroe (Zena), Mary Josephine Meyer and Willa Sue Cox.
He is survived by: his siblings, Clyde Monroe, Jesse Monroe (Sharon), Larry Monroe (Shirley), Kate Webb and Carol (James Foggin); and his close friends, Connie and Winston Dickey. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
