She was predeceased by: her husband Sam Smith; her parents, Roberta Bailey Cox and Porter Cox; her son James Jessie Smith; her son-in-law Ralph Grissom; and her brothers, Charlie Cox and Joe Cox.
She is survived by: her children, Trish Grissom, Candace Crawford (Stacy), Sam Smith and Billy Smith; and her sisters, Mickey Nicley and Kathy Jones. She is also survived by 14 Grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren; brother.
