He was predeceased by: his parents, David Wirt and Rosa Douglas Mason. He is survived by: his daughter Brenda Strickland Ball (Kirk) of San Antonio, TX; and his siblings, David Wirt (Elizabeth), Robert Herbert Wirt, Obadiah Mason (Evelyn), Nathaniel Mason (Patricia), John Lee Mason (Mae Louis) and Nancy Rooks.
