He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Jackson and Sylvia Jackson; and his siblings, Melvin Jackson, Neeley Jackson, Verna Jackson, Barbara Jones, Francis Veach and Virginia Mitchell.

He is survived by: his wife Yvonne Wagner Jackson; his children, Thomas Jackson, Jr. (Paulette) of Mason and Amanda Simmons (James) of Gates; and his sister Mary Morman of Raleigh. He is also survived by eight Grandchildren; and five Great Grandchildren.
