He was predeceased by: his wife Jane A. Hurst; his father Theodore Hurst; his brothers, Kenneth and Joe Hurst; and his stepfather Rev. Roy Acuff.
He is survived by: his mother Maggie Acuff; his children, Ronnie Hurst Jr. (Julie), Greta Emert and Yulanda Hurst; his brothers, Teddy Hurst and Tony Hurst (Kelly); and his grandchildren, Gavin, Gracie, Trinity Emert, Summer Slagle, Christopher Carter, Zoey Hurst, Delilah Hurst and Luca Hurst. He is also survived by several great-grandchildren; and several special nieces, nephews and cousins.
