He is survived by: his wife Virginia Dare Koon; his children, Julia L. Grisham, David E. Lawhorn and Lisa A. Leach (David); his siblings, Maxine L. Ferguson and Rufus A. Lawhorn; his granddaughters, Virginia Melton (Randy), Stephannie Coyle, Chesia Cunniff (PJ), Michelle Spradlin, Jennifer Proffitt (Tyson) and Kristy Leach; and his great grandchildren, Hunter, Kaitlyn Williams, Victoria, Presley Melton, Tripp, Charlotte Coyle, Kinsley and Knox Cunniff. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
