It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Janet Ward of Mascot, Tennessee, who passed away on February 12, 2023, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, McConnel May and Mary Sue Preston May; her husband Iasic Ward; and her siblings, Paul David May and Alkie Elizabeth Salyer.
She is survived by: her children, Sonny Isaac Ward (Patsy) of Paintsville, KY, McConneal Ward (Tina) of Mascot, TN, Jerry Mason Ward (Audrey) of Dandridge, TN, Dorrena Sue Compton of Mascot, TN, Mary Ethel Ward (Russell) of Sitka, KY, Melissa Jean Clifton (Ben) of Van Lear, KY and Elizabeth Ilene Colvin of Maysville, KY; her siblings, John Walter May (Katrina) of Louisa, KY, Linda Jean of Columbus, OH and Connie Preece of Staffordsville, KY; and her grandchildren, Sonny Ward II, Ryan Ward, David Ward, Rayvon Ward, Angel Ward, Brian Austin Ward, Shaunnie Ward, Maesie Humphrey, Frank Clifton, Hattie Clifton, Lily Hesson-Ward, Brently Hesson-Ward, Darcey Hesson-Ward, Dessa Colvin, Jeremiah Colvin, Billy Colvin, Brady Hale, Jordan Perkins, Megan Perkins and Addison Murphy. She is also survived by thirteen great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
