He was predeceased by: his son Richard Edward Jarnigan; his grandsons, Jayden and Jacob; his parents, Gerald Wayne and Nola Elizabeth Atkins (Buckner); and his brothers, Doug Atkins and Marvin Atkins.
He is survived by: his wife Angie Atkins; his children, Gregory Michael Atkins and Shayla Renee Atkins Kilgore (Kyle); his grandchildren, Jhon, Hayden, Hunter, Hadley, Jaxon, Nola and Kylie; his brother Tim Atkins; his niece Katrina Surrett (Randall); and his nephew Brian Atkins. He is also survived by other relatives and many friends.
In lieu of flowers, donation for funeral expenses may be made at the funeral home.
