She was predeceased by: her husband George W. Burns; her parents, Willie E. Russell and Thelma Gideon Russell; and her great grandchild James Weston Smith. She is survived by: her children, Brenda Smith (Weston) and Gary Burns (Linda); her grandchildren, Adam (Constance), Nathan (Maryem), Philip (Alyson), Andrew (Katherine), Lydia Smith, Morgan and Matthew Burns; her great grandchildren, Ashlynn, Jake, Abby, Elliot, Luke, Knox, Evie, Silas, Mary, Lucy, Lydia, Micah, Charlotte and Daniel; her sisters, Phyllis Chambers and Gail Gillespie; her aunt Margaret Hill; and also, Marcy Williams, Tommy and Kelley Morgan. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
