She was predeceased by: her son James Mark Hitson; her parents, Annie Whitehead and Andy Whitehead; and her siblings, Archie, Lloyd (Marie), Lester (Evelyn), Chet (Reva), Homer (Betty), Ollie Lee, Betrice (Frank), Louise (Marv) and Peggy.
She is survived by: her husband Rev James Hitson; her daughter Lea Ann Nichols (Michael); her grandchildren, Christian McCall Baby (Kristen), Brittany Hitson and Caden McCall; and her close friends, Ann Parker, Christina Hitson and Baby Brother Arnold "Bud" Whitehead (Faye). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
