He was predeceased by: his parents, Roland Sykes and Vera Cook Sykes; and his brother Clinton Sykes. He is survived by: his wife Linda; his daughters, Talena Douglass (Mark) and Tonya Hancock (Rob); and his grandsons, Alexander William Douglass, Isaac Taylor Douglass and Robert Baxton Hancock. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
