She was predeceased by: her husband Albert "Wilburn" Gay; her parents, Rev. Ezra Nelson and Eula Nelson; her siblings, Shirley Nelson, Gladys and Cledia Nelson; and her sister-in-law Joanne Nelson.
She is survived by: her brother Clifford Nelson; and her nephews, Terry (Wilma), Ricky (Sammie) and Darrell Nelson (Kim). She is also survived by cousins and friends.
