It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert Sparks of Maryville, Tennessee, who passed away on June 15, 2021, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James Sparks of Washington and Martha Tipton Sparks; his parent-in-law Claude; and his siblings, J. D. Sparks (Maryann), Una and Pat Simerly (Don).
He is survived by: his mother-in-law Mae Irwin Shuler of Maryville, TN.; his wife Shelby Jean Sparks; his children, Sandy Curtis (Bruce), Karen Smith (David) and Randy Sparks (Anna Smith); his grandchildren, Leanne Sparks Lane, Casey Boswell (Jake), Travis Sparks, Emmery Snyder (Kyle), Dalton Curtis (Caroline), Madison Smith, Makenzie Williams (Josh), Lauren Graves, Jeremi Taylor, Jackson Boswell, Madelyn Claire Boswell, Payton Goodman and Hunter Sparks; and his sister Betty Sparks Farmer of Maryville. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, family request memorial donations be made in memory of R.L. Sparks to Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church Building Fund.
