He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Houston and Etta Mae Brown; his wife Helen Brown (Henry); his grandson Matthew Brewer; and his siblings, William "Buddy" Brown, Maybelle Brown, Georgia Cook, Kate Hicks Miller, Flora Rowland and Barbara White.
He is survived by: his daughter Rhonda Fischer of Knoxville.
