He was predeceased by: his parents, Jennings Davis and Hilda Davis. He is survived by: his wife Melinda Haywood Davis; his children, Michelle Davis Webb, Richard O. Davis, Jr. (Lara E. Gill) and Hannah Brock (Scott Brock); his grandchildren, Andrew Davis (Erin), Sarah Davis, Jared Webb, Eli and Landon Brock; his great grandchild Parker Davis; and his sisters, LaDonna Davis and Sherry Simons.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be sent to the Church of Christ Disaster Relief Fund.
