He was predeceased by: his wife Joyce Hilton Greene; his parents, Alpha Hensley and Grant Greene; his stepmother Mabel Greene; and his siblings, Betty Mumpower, John Hensley and Carroll Hensley.

He is survived by: his daughters, Susan Roeske (Mike), Beth Lollar (Vic), Leslie Crawford and Lyn Byrd (Terry); and his siblings, Judy Harper, Joan Younce, Brenda Eilers and Horace Hensley. He is also survived by grandchildren and great grandchildren; many special cousins, nieces, nephews, and brothers-in-law.
